Wonderful Fall day for a run south from Sarg Hubbard Park to Sherman Park past the Arboretum. The Fall colors were amazing and the Yakima River had a full flow after some rain. The trail has both an asphalt surface and softer edge of grass or gravel, great running surface.
A lovely trail that's open dusk to dawn. The parking lot said it was supposed to close at 6pm, but was still open at 7:30. Not too many people there so it was relaxing. Be sure to take the detour though as the river has washed the old trail out.
Good for morning walks, walking with dog, jogging and biking barbeque or just hanging around at the park next to the river an lakes. Great views
It looks like Yakima forgot about some of the trail lots of dead ends.
