Confirmed from Yaman Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wooded site with a lakefront beach, a skate park & spacious picnic areas with pavilions & grills.
What runners say about Yaman Park
“This municipal park is totally charming, clean and with very well maintained site for picnic.”
“Caught it at the most percectest time the foliage was absolutely gorgeous felt like in a painting.”
“Family friendly park with an amazing view of a beach area”
Nice park and beach but the lifeguards are way too controlling. They run it like their own territory. Constantly screaming into their megaphones about the rules. No laying in puddles on the beach (even while wearing a life jacket). No touching in the water. No splashing.
Family fun for all skate park on site basketball hoop park for the kids a pavilion pond for fishing that contains northern pike, smallmouth bass, largemouth, bass, perch, catfish trout, and a creek along the side, beautiful walking trail so if you’re looking to get some steps in stop on down and enjoy BBQ grills on…
Clean and safe park. Many walking trails. Rumor has it there are monster Northern Pike in the pond.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
