Confirmed from Hahn Woods' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wooded park featuring creek-side trails and a small waterfall.
What runners say about Hahn Woods
“Beautiful spot with short loop trails and very unique views of an old bridge and mill-like ruins.”
This quiet short woods trail is very nice. The lower trail is along a creek where you can play with water. It takes 15 minutes to finish the lower trail loop. It is all natural path so not stroller friendly.
Another great nature/urban walking find in the Atlanta/Decatur border area. Trails from a Hann Woods sign-marked parking circle lead on an adventure by South Fork Peachtree Creek with sandy banks and an opportunity for wading, or in more woodsy areas with moderate elevation changes.
It’s a great little trail and one of my favorite spots to take my dog, Nolan. He loves it too! It’s typically not very busy and sometimes we don’t even pass another person which is nice. It’s a nice little stroll along the river and eventually around a small lake.
It's a quick 10 mins hike, but if you follow the river north through a small trail. This will lead you to Emory university trail. That trail around the university mini lake adds up and back to Hahn woods is about a good 5 mile. It's also shady, which makes the hike a good one.

“2025-12 Review: This is a great small park with a short tail at the parking lot level and the better one, at the river level.”
“Wonderful hiking trails, one would never guess there is such well-preserved and accessible wilderness so close to this urban area with the CDC and Emory within walking distance.”
