Confirmed from Acorn Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Acorn Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (628 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Beautiful little park and walking trail you'd never know was there.”

Park has two entrances: East and West. The east entrance is where the tee box 1 of an 18 hole disc golf course. A large skating rink and warming house are located just beyond the playground equipment. Paved walking trails wind through out the disc golf course and woods.

The New course is a bit less fun than the old, but has more of a champion course feel to it. It is still great and I miss it every day I'm it if town. It can be hard to navigate without a map, but it's usually busy enough to follow the group ahead until you learn the layout.

★★★★★ — Ben , Aug 2016

A few holes impossibly long like 7 and 18, and then several are so short you can flick a putter. I miss a lot of the old layout, however long ago that was, being this was the first course I ever played around 2000.

Great walking trail - WATCH OUT FOR SPEEDING DISCS BEING THROWN!!! Me and the dog had a fun time walking the trail, other then that... most of trail is pave, there is one section of boardwalk...

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
