Confirmed from Harriet Alexander Nature Center's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (586 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“Beautiful place to walk out in nature.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“So well maintained, peaceful, healthy plants and flowers.”

A wonderful gem in the middle of the cities! We actually started at Central Park and walked the paths connecting each of the parks including the Arboretum. 5 miles including the boardwalk. Really great location and amenities.

★★★★★ — Buffie , Aug 2023

A wonderful place to visit for a walk. The boardwalk is a great place for a morning stroll. There's lots of greenery, birds, and ducks to spot.

★★★★★ — Alex , Jun 2022

Fun boardwalks! We saw a few ducks. Frogs and toads were singing. Very relaxing walk.

★★★★★ — Evie , May 2025

The Roseville Parks & Rec system is awesome in general, but we especially love the HANC! The boardwalk and trails are not super expansive, but there is a lot to explore and it's the perfect excursion younger children (for those looking for a longer trek, wander over through the Arboretum and over to Central Park).

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
