Confirmed from Aliso Canyon Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Narrow, mostly undeveloped open space with some rugged horse trails, hiking & biking paths.
What runners say about Aliso Canyon Park
“The trail is beautiful, gorgeous trees, with three little creek crossings and an optional steep section that’s totally worth it.”
“I love how the trail often gives way to large open areas, which area shaded by the canopies of the amazing oak trees.”
“It's quiet and not usually crowded and you can make your hike as difficult or as easy as you want by going all the way up to Reseda or going further into the canyon.”
“Once you get on its an easy hike until you get to the end where you can turn back or continue up a steep but short incline to Eddlestone park.”
I was so happy to see that I could rate Alyson Canyon Park because my family and I hike there almost every day, and have since 2016! Even when COVID hit, we kept hiking, staying connected with nature and getting great exercise.
It's such a pretty place to explore, especially in the spring and early summer. It's tucked away in this little canyon between houses and sometimes feels like a world away.
This is truly a hidden Gem. Its nice and quiet but not far away. We got there at 7 30 and there was still plenty of parking. We used the path on the left, crossed the street to the hiking path nearby and it was beautiful views and wildflowers. We loved it.
If you are looking for a great Suburban trail that you can walk on for miles, then Aliso canyon Park may be perfect for you. This park has two great trails that are both beautiful. This is one of my favorite trails to hike on. There is a beautiful River with water most of the year, especially in the spring.
