Confirmed from O'Melveny Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This park, the second largest in Los Angeles, offers picnicking & trails for hikers & bikers.

“Beautiful Park with lots of benches for picnics, clean bathroom, lovely walking trail with option for a rugged hike.”
“It was overcast this past Saturday morning but we were told that was good as there is little to no shade on most of the trails.”
“But the view and the wildlife and the peaceful environment are very worth the risk.”
“Easy trails, but rough ones are accessible.”
Was there today and it was refreshing to see the park since the last time I was there as a child. Looked smaller compared to now (at least the small pond with the tadpoles. guess I've grown up haha) but nonetheless, the hikes were beautiful.
I come here to hike. There’s not a lot of parking but you can park on the street. My favorite time to go is in the spring when all the flowers are blooming. You can see the San Fernando Valley. The hikes are easy to difficult. I keep coming back here it’s very peaceful I love it. It’s a great workout too.
The location is absolutely beautiful. I was blown away by how green it is, and the views going up the trail were breathtaking. Making it to the top of the highest mountain made you feel like you're on top of the world almost. The hiking trails can be slightly intense at times but nothing too crazy.
Very nice area for a hike to get those steps in and enjoy an amazing view of the valley at the very top. There are several trail options to choose from. I hiked around 7 miles round-trip with my dog and it was great! A lot of lizards (which I didn’t mind) roaming around and welcoming you on the way to the top haha.
