Confirmed from Allardale Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Allardale Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (458 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“While the kitchen doesn't have all the amenities (No stove, just a warming oven and a microwave) it was spacious and clean.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 15 mentions

“The trails were beautiful and though the playground was not as big as others the slides and swings were unique and made it worth while.”

This is a beautiful park with wooded areas and some big fields. Some walking trails were paved with asphalt and some were not. All trails were clearly marked and very easy to walk on. There is an equestrian center there too with a lot of jumps that could be set up for horses, as well as a big barn and stalls.

This park is a hidden gem in Granger, Ohio. Features several walking and hiking trials that traverse through forests. A good place for walking dogs and even has a few spots for kids to play. There is a nice picnic area available for reservations as well as a hilltop lodge perfect for larger getogethers.

I love this little park. I came across it when I was trying to find something that was more of a relaxing walk rather than a hike. Also wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of Hinckley and Whips Ledges. I came in through the West entrance. There are four different trails that criss cross through this park.

Beautiful park! A literal gem in the fall and a gorgeous hike. My only complaint would be being able to hear the highway. Love all the benches on the trails to sit and enjoy the nature!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
