Confirmed from Worden's Ledges' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Picturesque park featuring hiking trails, a wooded area and rock formations with human faces carved into them.
What runners say about Worden's Ledges
“Great experience, beautiful area to hike and great adventure discovering the sandstone carvings in the woods.”
“A dozen or so carvings hidden throughout a fairly easy trail.”
This was really nice to hike. It's October when all the leaves turn and crisp air all around. The rock formations are fantastic! The carvings are fun, especially the one you look hard for. The elevations are medium to steep so small kids will complain. Lots of dog walkers and a wide bridal trail for the horses.
Awesome nature trails with beautiful stone formations and art along the way. The path was easy to find and parking was available. Portable potty is available at the entrance but this area is not handicap accessible. If you are sure footed and love climbing and hiking this is a fun trail for you.
Beautiful short hike. Worden's loop is less than half a mile and you stumble upon the carvings. Very serene with not many people there in a weekday. There's parking at the beginning of the trail for a few cars and it has multiple spots open. Portable potty by parking, had toilet paper and sanitizer.
Went here on Buzzard's day in mid-March. The trail to the ledges and the sculptures was a bit muddy from rain earlier in the day. Overall, the hike was pretty easy, and the view of the ledges as well as the sculptures was beautiful.
