Confirmed from Bath Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Woodsy 404-acre park with nature & horse trails, bike paths, hikes, fishing & cross-country skiing.
What runners say about Bath Nature Preserve
“This park is a real gem and well kept secret in Summit county.”
“While it was pretty windy and just below 40° the day we went, the park was truly beautiful and at times, more challenging than I initially expected.”
Located in the heart of Bath Township, this park is hidden from the "city" and roads around it... The atmosphere is amazing: so full of tranquility and serenity, I call it my "meditation zone". Once you visit, you will fall in love with its beauty!
We really enjoyed this paved trail. It is Handicap Accessable, and has Restrooms. Every Sign is spaced with the position of the Earth, and each step calculated. The signs are fun for kids and have a lot information about our Solar System. There is also a horse path that starts in the same area.
I love this park. So many different trails. Nice and peaceful. Some cool tidbits along the way. I like when they decorate a little for the seasons. Met a little black kitten on our hike this time. He followed us a little bit. I hope he has a home.
Nice park with walking and bridal trails of all. Small ponds that you can walk around. Nice nature spot
Trail conditions & character
“While it was pretty windy and just below 40° the day we went, the park was truly beautiful and at times, more challenging than I initially expected.”
“Not the best for serious off trail hiking, since most paths are asphalt, but there are some horse trails that can be taken that are easier on older knees.”
“It also has paved paths, so even when the ground is wet and muddy, you can still enjoy a hike in Nature Preserve and not come out all dirty :)”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
