Confirmed from Arkansas Bend Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Tranquil, lakeside park offering primitive campsites, plus swimming, fishing, hiking & picnicking.

Summary: wonderfully newly revamped, it's got everything you would want in a campground Details: Travis county went above and beyond with the remodel of this park. It has wonderful water access and two boat ramps.
Love this place. Each site is brand new. Even the public shower house was redone. And they are still adding additional campsites and mini cabins right now!! Each campsite has a lot of space. The area around the park has nice short hiking and biking trails and plenty of wildlife to see.
Beautiful and quiet park with stellar views of Colorado river. Water is extremely low right now and it was a good hike down to waters edge. Sat for a while under some shade trees.
The Park is clean, the staff is polite and helpful. There’s plenty of shade in the eating areas and the water feels great. I would recommend wearing water shoes as the zebra mussels cut every now and then. Overall we had a great time and will be visiting again.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
