Confirmed from Artesia Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“This park is family friendly and clean.”

I really like to walk from my house to this park playing pokemon go. It started to become a hobby of mine. Its really quiet and friendly. There aren’t any bums or weird animals at this park. I love this place and I will always come back.

★★★★★ — Abraham , Apr 2019

Love this park! It has plenty of parking, shade from the trees and lots of seating areas. They have bathrooms outside and they have a staffed building with bathrooms as well (surprisingly open on the weekends).

Came here while I waited for a oil change today. Quiet lil park. Maintenance guy was cleaning the restrooms when we first got to the park and he actually took his time and didn't do a rushed job. Park looks well kept. People were out walking for exercise, few people playing on the basketball court.

★★★★★ — Shay , Feb 2023

This park is family friendly and clean. They have a walking path, basketball courts, and rest rooms open during the day. My son is 12 and plays basketball there and many times joins others and enjoy a walk.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 7 mentions

“Maintenance guy was cleaning the restrooms when we first got to the park and he actually took his time and didn't do a rushed job.”

  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
