A stunningly beautiful park for walking and relaxing. A very beautiful lake and a promenade around it. There are many picnic areas, benches, playgrounds, you can rent a kayak or catamaran. There are toilets. Interesting trees, there are signs with names. You can walk with dogs on a leash.
As someone who owns a dog walking company and spends many many hours in Parks, walking dogs. Aurora is Head and shoulders above most parks! Garbage bags, poop bags, and a consistently clean atmosphere! I highly recommend any of the Aurora Parks! I have been to so many parks that have dog pool all over. This one.
Growing up on the east side my parents took us to the metro parks for cookouts and to just spend time in the park. When I moved to Aurora as an adult I figured we would have a very difficult time finding a place like squires Castle. I was wrong...
Great for quiet evening walk, small playgrounds on both sides/parking lots. Good amount of dog walkers here if you want to see cute puppies :) very peaceful park
