Confirmed from Bretschneider Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Bretschneider Park
“Diversity of terrain, narrow grassy paths, wobbly bridges, gorgeous ponds and millions of tree roots makes for a grand adventure.”
This is a muddy little wonderland of bees and gnats and broken trees and simple bridges and root filled trails. I like it. It’s beautiful:)
Beautiful park with a decent, narrow trail. The trail leads to a nature sanctuary, unfortunately, no dogs allowed so I had to turn around.
Wonderful hike on a surprisingly dry day in May. Diversity of terrain, narrow grassy paths, wobbly bridges, gorgeous ponds and millions of tree roots makes for a grand adventure.Three trails in all. I took Red which is a 1.8 mile loop.

- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
