Confirmed from Basket Swamp Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Basket Swamp Preserve
Not the greatest trail I've ever been on. It was relatively well cleared, marked, and wasn't super buggy. It didn't seem to border or go through a swamp at all but it was a nice hike through some dense woods which I liked.
Nice walk went left at the intersection loops followed to the gas line crossed over it goes right (red trail) loops back to the gas line go right 300 feet go left to continue the trail and your back at the intersection. Around 2 miles its May and a little wet lots of birds deer tracks.
Nice little trail to walk on before the library opens. My 4 year old loves it. I suggest staying on the path. There are some thorny weeds and ticks. Some spot can be a little muddy but easy enough to walk around.
