Confirmed from Pocasset Ridge Conservation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Pocasset Ridge Conservation Area

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (20 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🪧 well-marked 2 mentions

“We found the trails to be very well marked with blazes.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“Peace and quiet on good trails!”

Was peaceful, a bit uneven terrain so be advised, also was somewhat over grown but did see Landscaping clearing Paths, takes about 15-20 mins to get to the Fork then another 10 mins from there to get to Cliff over look. Not much to overlook lol 😆 but fun little peaceful adventure.

We found the trails to be very well marked with blazes. Even with the trails obscured by the autumn leaves, the trails are very easy to follow. The cliff face is quite high so if hiking with little ones, keep them close. We are very happy to see Tiverton protecting a such a pretty area.

★★★★☆ — Keith , Oct 2020

Great little hike, decent hill but nothing too crazy. Not a whole lot to see from the top of the ridge but I'm looking forward to checking out the loop next time!

Pocasset Ridge Conservation Area I wandered on a relaxed walk with friendly people of the Appalachian Mountain Club Narragansett 20s and 30s group through the Pocasset Ridge Conservation Area in Tiverton, Rhode Island. This deciduous forest 🌳 is vibrantly green from floor to canopy.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 5 mentions

“I also saw quite a few beautiful Holly trees, a shade of darker green within these trees, and admired the ferns.”
