This is a beautiful neighborhood hike - flat and scenic. And it’s dog friendly which is a huge plus! The trailhead is in the middle of a nice neighborhood in Carlsbad, and there was plenty of street parking. Trail is very well kept! It around the lagoon which was beautiful.
Good place for dogs. Lots to see and do with plenty of benches for older folks. Many large signs are informative about the lagoon. Lovely vistas of the ocean. Trail continues north along the tracks all the way to Palomar Airport Rd.
Nice walk some trails were narrow but overall nice. Another snake paid us a visit but it's summertime so it's to be expected. You just have to be aware and respect nature.
A beautiful and scenic view of the lagoon from most of the trail 👣. Very clean and well kept. This is an absolute gem 💎 the city has created for everyone 🙌 to enjoy.
