We had a fantastic stay at Battle Ground Lake State Park! When we arrived, we had reservations, and although no one was at the gate maybe because of all the Federal cut which I’m so sorry about . it was easy to follow the signs — just head right for campsites 1–20, which are laid out in a convenient loop.
Love Battleground Lake. It's small but very peaceful and relaxing. Especially on weekdays. There's a trail that goes around the lake with benches to sit and enjoy the view. They rent out paddle boards, and have a small camp store. Camping is enjoyable with large sites.
Pay to park or show Discover Pass. Paved parking, plus a paved pathway to the lake. NOTE: the path to the lake is fairly steep and may be difficult for people with knee/hip/joint problems. Dogs are allowed on a leash, but not allowed in the lake. Bathrooms are available and are decent.
Beautiful place!! The hike around the lake was stunning! I love how there are no engines allowed on the lake at all. The water is so clear, we saw many different varieties of fish.
