Confirmed from Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Free area with picnic tables for watching injured or rescued wild birds, plus hiking.
What runners say about Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary Trailhead
Love coming here to visit the animals but also such a great way to get a good walk! If you take your time to view every spot you can be here 2 hours! They even have benches for you to sit and have a picnic but beware, geese everywhere!
Love that place, it's a great place for walking and seeing animals. The trails are good, it gives me shade when I'm walking.
Decided to go for a stroll around the park. The animals were all present in their exhibits. It was a nice morning stroll, almost all the paths were paved. There are tons of geese and ducks present on the boardwalk but they didn’t bother us cuz we had no corn. Lots of birds that have been rescued on display.
Part zoo, part nature trail. Incredible variety of large birds (injured/rescued). The region is suffering through a serious drought so it really needed a good rain storm to give the area a wash, but I had good time. Not a good dog place ... wild Canadian Geese everywhere. Parking and entry is free!
