Confirmed from Beaudry Loop Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 6 mentions

“Opting for the clockwise direction allows for strategic breaks during the uphill sections and presents stunning views from the summit.”

🌳 shaded & cool 5 mentions

“This is a moderate hike and contrary to some reviews, there is good amount of shade, although a hat and plenty of water would help.”

I chanced to stumble on this trail, and even introduced it to a few of my local friends in LA area. This is a moderate hike and contrary to some reviews, there is good amount of shade, although a hat and plenty of water would help. Its broad and attracts lot of cyclists too, so watch out for them.

Great loop, not too steep and very nice views! No single track but still enjoyable and not so crowded.. depending on the time you are hiking, you have some shade on the way .. only street parking but we had no issues finding a spot close to the trailhead..

We loved this hike.. very green and so many beautiful views. Not easy though.. great workout, 3 miles to the top where the FCC towers are. Take plenty of water for you and your pets… wear sunscreen and hats. We were glad to go on a cold day, not sure I’d do this on a hot one.

The North Beaudry Trail is amazing! It's perfect for hiking, mountain biking, and trail running. The trail isn’t too technical or narrow, offering plenty of space to share with mountain bikers. It's also a great spot to take your dogs for a walk. Plus, North Beaudry connects to the Brand and Verdugo trails.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
