We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Bells Mountain Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Bells Mountain Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (11 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Awesome trail that leads to lots of other trails, or to just a nice clear cut about 1.5 miles up if you want a shorter hike. Good place for sunrise or sunset and rarely crowded.

★★★★★ — Ratchet , Mar 2024

Bell's Mountain Hike is an absolute gem! The trail offers breathtaking views, challenging yet rewarding terrain, and a serene atmosphere. It's perfect for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts. Prepare to be captivated by the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Highly recommended

★★★★★ — Tom , Jul 2023

Lovely place to hike, run, walk, or swim. Plenty of options for difficulty of hike/distance. Several waterfalls in the area.

★★★★★ — Timothy , Apr 2025

7 mile hiking from parking lot. Very steep in the beginning about 1,800 in elevation. Good views and pretty in the forest. When you cross the dirt roads there are signs showing you the hike is continuing on the other side

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
