Confirmed from Bielfeldt Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Open space with multiple playgrounds and walking trails for strolling and picnicking.
What runners say about Bielfeldt Park
“Short paved loop to walk, dog poop bags provided, clean, plenty of parking, bathroom facilities available”
“Awesome quiet park with updated playground.”
Review Date: August 25th, 2015 Bielfeldt Park… is possibly named after… I really don’t know. There is a local who is on the Michigan Wolverine’s Basketball team. Maybe it’s named after them? Any who, Bielfeldt park is a nice little park located across the street from Poplar Lane Park.
This is a decent park with open space for things like soccer, frisbee, or other similar activities. Bielfeldt park also has two playgrounds: one newer and one older. The older playground is built on top of sand. There are also a couple of trails that you can get to from the park.
We really like taking our dogs for walks here, but why can't they open the restrooms? What did a locked bathroom have to do with covid?
A very nice park for family get-togethers and picnics. The old playground is a bit lacking, but the new jungle gym seems like a difficult level in Super Mario Bros. The paved trail is very nice, particularly for older folks looking for exercise - it provides a very gradual hill.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
