We love this park! It’s been cleaned up a lot in the last 5 to 10 years but could still use some work. Sometimes I don’t know what’s waiting for me around the corner. Very mature trees and natural beauty. Good for trail running and also there’s a park that is really fun!
These are two different parks nestled close to one another, so I'll review them separately. Lyons area - I enjoy taking my dog here, we go here to look for dogs off their leash, the other day we found three and there wasn't a Karen in sight, so that he has a friend for a second.
Very nice medium-sized park with a playground, bathrooms, and dog water station. The walking paths are mostly gravel and flat, w7nd8ng through wetlands with many benches along the way. The westernmost loop is a path around a large meadow covered in clover. Popular place to walk dogs.
This is a great place to get out of the hustle of the city and get a little taste of nature. The openness of the park hides it's proximity to suburbia and the mountain views are great year-round and the marshland creates a great environment for waterfowl and other birds.
