Confirmed from Big Creek Greenway's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Shaded route for walking and biking, plus deer sightings.
What runners say about Big Creek Greenway
“Well-kept, beautiful place for a walk with a variety of routes to take.”
“Well-kept, beautiful place for a walk with a variety of routes to take.”
“Wide, shaded, and easy to follow, whether you’re walking, biking, or pretending you’re outdoorsy for an afternoon.”
“Clear maps, plenty of entrances, and the kind of quiet where you can actually hear yourself think.”
Absolutely beautiful location for inline skating. Many bikers so be on the lookout, reminded me of a trail in Woodstock where the bikers aren’t super friendly, only a couple out of many waved. The views are top notch and it’s a great place to go solo or with friends and family on a beautiful day.
Can be tricky to find if your using GPS. I use the entrance by Ethan Allen on North Point Parkway. Miles and miles of trails. Some sections have long stretches of wooden bridges that can be tough for rollerblades, but still a great area to blade or bike. Also has some "walking only" sections which are nice.
Love walking here. Wide trail for walkers and bikers. Often see deer, ducks and other animals. A good number of benches spaced out along trail if you need to rest.
Well maintained trail in the center of the town. Safe with several users. Track is well kept and not slippery.
