Confirmed from Big Creek Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
City woodland park offering a series of mountain biking, hiking & multi-use paved trails.
What runners say about Big Creek Park
“Very easy hiking trails for novices and intermediates, many scenic routes to explore, and great place to walk your canine friends.”
“The atmosphere was vibrant, filled with the sounds of nature, the laughter of visitors, and the quiet hum of cyclists gliding along the well-maintained trails.”
Had a blast here recently at the Big Creek Quick Six Enduro. Well manicured trails with easy to hard. Very nicely laid out and easy to follow map. There's something for anyone here!
Big Creek Park has a very peaceful trail. Deers often make an appearance during my evening walks. Some paved roads, a little boardwalk, and some dirt roads. Designated bike dirt road and designated pedestrian path as well as cyclists.
One of my favorite parks to wonder in Roswell. Good mountain biking trails, and paved or raised platform walk ways be it suitable for all ages and physical conditions. Highly recommend!
It was a beautiful place, and a nice light walk. There is also biking and Roller skating(yes, you read that right). I had never heard of roller skating in a Recreational park

“I wish crossing Holcomb Bridge on Old Alabama and the rest of the way to the parking lot was safer, it would connect alot of other hike and bike areas together.”
“Rocky trail which dries quickly after a rain storm but is a little more difficult to navigate.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
