Confirmed from Big Rock's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Rock-lined hiking area featuring a rope swing over the creek and picnic tables.

Nice walk to Big Rock yesterday in Cherokee park ! Peaceful trail. Beargrass Creek is lovely. Nature and it’s beauty.
I absolutely love this park. My boys swim, hike, and explore here. Its a great place to bring them every day when the weather permits!!!!
This is an amazing place to spend time with friends and family. You could swim, dive, hike, walk your dog, and a ton of fun activities that can fill out your summertime. If you love nature, well, this is a good place for you. Go there and check it, you'll have fun. I am planning to go again...
Many small trails take you near the waters edge. Backs into Cherokee Park and Seneca Park. Great place to enjoy nature.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
