We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Bill Craft Trail northern end yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏃 great for running 2 mentions

“Bill Craft Trail is a great running or hiking trail.”

Went here for a quick trail run. Ended up doing a hike/run combo. Parked off of Plainfield Rd. Actually missed the lot and had to turn around.. there is a small sign at the front of the lot. Plenty of parking here and shaded. No RR. Recommend taking a picture of the map at the trail head.

Stay on the white hash trail. Lots of custom trails intersect so it's easy to get off track.

★★★★★ — Wesley , Oct 2025

Bill Craft Trail is a great running or hiking trail. It is a 6.2 out & back single track trail. It is well marked with white blazes but one needs to pay attention because of off shoot trails that locals have added to get to trail from their surrounding neighborhoods. It is rated as “easy” but don’t let that fool you.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
