Confirmed from Bill Frederick Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Bill Frederick Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (3,182 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 13 mentions

“Restrooms are nice and maintained with electricity and running water and Dyson blade hand dryers, well maintained.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 10 mentions

“I love this park so much, it was so beautiful 😍 that I didn’t realize I was in Orlando.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 8 mentions

“The park is tucked away, so it has a more peaceful, nature-filled vibe compared to some of the busier spots in the area.”

My husband said to tell everyone that it sucked because he wants to keep it a secret. I just can’t find anything bad to say. The place is beautiful. Plenty of room between campsites so you didn’t feel you were on top of each other. Located about 3.5 miles from Universal Studios.

The playground here is so amazing!!! They have 3 different play areas, the largest is definitely the shadiest. They’re pretty spread out between pavilions, too, with lots of room to play. There was ample parking in Lot 2 and within walking distance to the petting zoo area, as well.

★★★★★ — Richel , Jul 2023

This park is a great location if you want to visit Disney or Universal Studios. From here it’s only 15 minutes on secondary streets, no toll roads to Universal. The park itself has nice hiking paths all around. They have a nice disc golf facility here and we saw several groups playing through.

This review is specifically for the Family RV Park there. We stayed 8 nights in our motorhome while attending a convention at Orange County Convention Center. It worked out very well for us. The drive to the Convention Center was not bad even with the construction.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
