Confirmed from Black Fork Bottoms Hunting Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Black Fork Bottoms Hunting Area
“Beautiful park, so much to see.”
“I was pleasantly surprised to discover the trails to be well marked and maintained.”
I was pleasantly surprised to discover the trails to be well marked and maintained. I know this place has Hunting Area in its name but what I found was a beautiful easy trail area with benches over looking the pond and a small picnic area with a table surrounded by amazing wildflowers.
Black Fork Bottoms is a shared use area, so it's important to pay attention to when it's open for hunting only. A great place to walk the dog. Mowed paths, a big swamp and an overlook of the entire area. A real hidden gem right off US 42
Nice trail close to home! Clearly marked and nice views. Just under 2 miles for the outer loop.
Nice trails to walk. But the bus are out in force. Remember this is a swamp bug type area.
