Confirmed from Bonneville Shoreline Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Bonneville Shoreline Trail
Wonderful way to see the entire valley North, East, West and South! There are many trails that take off from the main path, in other words, there are considerable options. Take lots of water, wear good shoes for hiking and go early in the day, unless it's a cooler day.
This trail is a great trail to train your mountain bike skills. Insane uphill, and thundering downhill all along the way. It is also a great trail to commute on as well.
Perfect trail for a quick hiking fix... It's practically in my backyard!
Trail conditions & character
“Really awesome trail with panoramic views of the valley!”
“There is typically a good amount of wind if you choose to go higher in the hills.”

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
