Confirmed from Boones Ferry Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Clean riverside park featuring swings, climbing structures and a trail.
What runners say about Boones Ferry Park
“Was very clean and beautiful scenery.”
“The paved trails, the little rock beach by the river and the gorgeous trees and bathrooms.”
“A nice quiet park by the Willamette River.”
Cute little park with access to the water. You have to jail your equipment to the water but a nice little area to launch a paddle board or kayak. There's a little bit of a drop off at the bottom. So if you have issues walking, or you suggest you choose another place to launch.
There are several wonderful things about this park. The paved trails, the little rock beach by the river and the gorgeous trees and bathrooms. Unfortunately the smell from the sewer plant on the trails makes for a less than perfect outing.😐
Loved it. The walking trail was especially nice. I thought how cool when I got to the end and it was underneath a bridge. Although, it did come out by someone's back yard which was slightly awkward. Was very clean and beautiful scenery. These photos were close to the end of the trail right under the bridge.
Beautiful, newly remodeled park right on the river. Easy little trail that takes you down to a small rock beach. Make sure if you have kids that they have life vests on if you go to this river. It's deep and runs hard. Keep track of your little ones. This is by far one of our favorite parks.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
