Confirmed from Brewer Riverwalk's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Paved waterside trail featuring benches, flower gardens and chess sets.

I walked the full Brewer Riverwalk today with my dog and what an amazing, delightful area! It is about 1.1 miles (2.2 miles round-trip) and is very well-thought-out with tons of benches and picnic tables scattered along the way. I was really impressed with the beautiful landscaping of rock, green grass and flowers.
We love the river walk! Paved and great for walking or taking a dog. Gorgeous no matter the time of the year and it’s always kept very clean. My favorite parts are the beautiful gardens and watching the fog roll on the river - plus sometimes you can listen to concerts from the other side of the river!
Easy short paved path alongside the river featuring lovely views and well kept gardens with plenty of benches along the way to stop or 2 restaurants to eat. Plenty of free parking in several different spots along the path.
A great place to go for a walk along the Penobscot River. It's very clean and well kept and not too crowded. There are beautiful flower gardens and a couple of restaurants too.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
