Very pleasant park by the South Fork New River. The park has five tables, restroom, and two grills (haven't tried them yet). Soccer fields and large green area are available. The walk (bike or run) is relatively flat and very nice by the river, you can hear the water flowing which can help you relax and think.
Nice Park. Bathrooms available. (locked during some parts of the winter). There are typically two soccer style fields available most of the year. The third field is the biggest and typically stays busy. This park has an asphalt trail that loops around a soccer field and then meanders by the creek (out and back).
A nice clean, well kept park. Connects with the greenway, it appears. There was lots of activity with people walking their dogs, exercising, playing soccer, and fishing. We were there to fish, as well. We caught some massive rainbow trouts. One was 16” and the other was 20”! We, also, caught our limits.
Perfect for family with young child . We were able to ride our bikes on paved pathway through the natural area, which had a path that went into the mountain (first level was easy and fun with mountain bikes). Beautiful trail along river and lots of wild flowers, birds and berries.
