Confirmed from Brown's Run Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Brown's Run Trail
A 4 1/2 mile hike from rt414 to the Browns Run road that follows the stream. Much of it is an old horse trail from the lumbering days, There are a couple bad washouts about 2 miles up but the first mile and especially the last 2 1/2 miles are nice. The big pool at the mouth of English Run is no more.
