Confirmed from Levee Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Great place for jogging or just going for a walk.”

Nice views great place to walk, run or stroll. No bikes allowed. We went on a family walk here feels great on a summer evening.

★★★★★ — Annlyn , Aug 2025

Great place for jogging or just going for a walk. There's plenty of places to study or just relax. Open dawn to dusk (except for Ragata). No bikes allowed. Pets welcome. The view is gorgeous and it's a nice way to get downtown without dealing with traffic. Snow doesn't get removed by man (just let's it melt).

★★★★☆ — Mary , Jun 2017

Please read: you are not allowed to ride anything with wheels on this. It is for walking/running only. Don't let others get you in trouble with local authorities.

★★★★☆ — Kyle , Dec 2023

A wonderful walk or just sit and ponder life. The scenery is just amazingly mesmerizing...

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
