Confirmed from Buck Creek Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Buck Creek Trail
“Beautiful trail, I walked this in elementary school and had to revisit.”
“Wonderfully peaceful and serene.”
Nice little trail where you can often hear Buck Creek tumbling over some rocks. The pavement is a little bumpy for fast bike use, but for everything else it works well. Benches along the way. There is a park with restrooms where the trail crosses Wilson. There are some nice destination restaurants at the west end.
Beautiful trail, I walked this in elementary school and had to revisit. The trail is paved and there are a few bridges. Lots of deer to see! Plenty of flowing water and standing water. So many beautiful things to take pictures of
Beautiful paved trail along a good size creek. There's a nice, short, paved loop next to Mill Race Park with a small boardwalk and some extra deer paths to explore. There's also a nice offshoot going south through some shrub-lands to a neat bridge and N. Big Spring Dr.
Buck Creek trail is always amazing, of course I am biased as I've been there hundreds of times while growing up. The elevated boardwalk is fun to ride bikes and walk on. Great place for a walk, fishing, observing nature...
