We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Burkhardt Trail Head yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Burkhardt Trail Head
Loved this hike, hated the mosquitoes! I didn’t have change for the parking fee so I slipped a $20 into the envelope. 2 days later I received a call from a very nice park ranger asking where she could mail my change too. I haven’t experienced hospitality like that in years!
This was an awesome place! We took a longer hike in, which was a lot of steeper hills, pretty muddy right now, on the way back we took the stairs up (difficult to me!) which shortened the hike back quite a bit. The falls were amazing!
Great groomed trail along a winding river! Leads to an amazing waterfall (Willow Falls).
