Confirmed from Burkhart Creek County Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 9 mentions

Really wonderful place to hike up and down hills or choose a flat trail if you need something easy on the knees. There is a awesome place to let your kids or pet play in the water. Lots of wet land areas where you can find lots of frogs and bull frogs.

★★★★★ — Joe , May 2019

Wonderful little park, very excellent ridge to climb, nice shelter, cool picnic spot by a creek bed. Fun to scamper. I do like the 3 biomes - forest, prairie, wetland - all in such a small area, very unique. Excellent 1 mile paved trail good for bikes or easier walking. Nice gravel trails in the trees.

This is a beautifully hidden gem in rural morgan Co. The walking paths have a variety of surface from natural to paved there are beautiful trails thru denae paths or a wide open space perfect for cyclist, runner or hiker. Call reception is spotty but you won't miss it.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
