Confirmed from Martinsville City Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Picnic, 2-mile hiking and walking trails surround a pond in this clean park.

“Very nice clean Park plenty of space to explore and play and or fish.”

Really nice city park. I only came for the loop trail which I did twice for ~4.5 miles. But the rest of the grounds looked very well maintained. The trail was pretty nice and a good place to run some elevation and terrain.

Very nice park! Plenty of places to walk. I really enjoyed the uphill walk. There are many different areas for children to play and playgrounds to explore. Many shelters with picnic areas and places to grill out food. I highly recommend this park.

What a lovely park! Visiting from Arizona so I'm definitely not used to all of the green and trees. Enjoyed exploring this place and taking a short hike through the woods.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

⛰️ Hills / elevation 10 mentions

“If you start by the pond, you walk through the wooded area, and all the way to/or past the hill(which has a beautiful gazebo).”
