Confirmed from Burrus Old Mill Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Burris Hill Park is a charming neighborhood gem that offers a peaceful escape in the heart of Blue Springs. On my recent visit, I was impressed by how well-maintained and inviting the park felt. The mature trees provide excellent shade throughout, making it a comfortable place to relax even on warmer days.

I hadn't been here in years. My family enjoyed the updated playground. It was a fun time climbing and exploring. Variety of playground equipment for younglings, normal younglings, and even the bigger kids. There's a volleyball area and even a skate park area there. I believe a hiking or walking path as well.

Since the rebuild of this park it is absolutely incredible. I am so impressed with the city for putting together such a great, family friendly space. The play area has a rubber floor so it’s great for all ages and all the different equipment was made with such ingenuity and creativity that actually usable and fun.

★★★★★ — Rachel , Sep 2019

Overall, a very nice park with pretty disappointing restrooms. The men’s doesn’t have a toilet paper dispenser, and the family restroom has no soap dispenser. Otherwise, nice trails, nice skate park, nice playground.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 7 mentions

“A nice restroom on-site and the main summer attraction, an awesome splash pad with so many water spouts, a slide and something for ages 0-12+.”
