Confirmed from Butler-Freeport Community Trail Marwood Rd Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Butler-Freeport Community Trail Marwood Rd Trailhead
“Bringing your furry friend is encouraged as long as they are friendly and you clean up any mess they might make.”
Chris Ziegler and all the trail workers for the Butler Freeport trail do a superb job. The trail surface was crushed limestone and is easily ridden.
This trail is absolutely beautiful. It is the best place to go for running walking and bike riding. The pea gravel surface is easy on the joints. Bringing your furry friend is encouraged as long as they are friendly and you clean up any mess they might make.
My local rails to trails bike path. Well maintained runs between Butler and Freeport 25 miles. Cafe and bike shop in the trail at Herman (open May to October - good food ) At least 8 cross roads provide parking and access.
Cool, cloudy day. Had the trail to myself (ATuesday--in case you're looking for solitude. Not a busy morning there). Surface was good and solid in spite of above average rainfall.
