Confirmed from Cabin Fever Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

I'm a walker not a bike rider so sorry but this would be a perfect trail if there were no bikes but very scenic the hills are very low grade. Periodic shade and it seems to be mode very frequently. And if you're a biker you'll love it perfectly maintained no holes in the trail

Great paved trail with limited hills. Nice views of the lake but fairly exposed. In windy, sunny, or hot conditions the trail might not be ideal for all users. Nice picnic shelters along the path and plenty of shade trees to stop and rest at.

I always enjoy bike riding on the Smithville Lake trails because of the views and paved trail. Great workout!

Beautiful trail that never fails my expectations. One of the longest trails in Smithville and you get to see some gorgeous sights all around the lake. On top of that there is a really nice playground about a mile in and I have some very good memories of going there as a kid.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
