Confirmed from Cahaba River Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Clean, woodsy expanse, offering trails for hiking and mountain biking, plus kayaking, swimming and pavilions, along with parking.
What runners say about Cahaba River Park
“Lovely, well maintained trails and a primo location to ride bikes.”
“The scenery is gorgeous, the trail goes through many different parts of the forest and even hugs the Cahaba River for awhile.”
“On our Saturday morning visit, we saw plenty of well marked trails.”
“Pros: it's quiet, trails and facilities are well done and maintained.”
Posting about the MTB trails only. Awesome classic Alabama singletrack made for modern bikes. The soil is classic alabama dirt: hard packed sand and pine straw. Not super tacky but not a washout mayhem either. Super fast.
Feel like you need to go more out on mountain biking? Do you like parks and gorgeous scenery? Well look no further for Cahaba River Park, they have tons of trails to choose from with intimidating names like High Voltage, Lost Loop Lake, and Flying Squirrel/Turtle, these trails include a bunch of downhill, curvy turns…
Nice place to unwind and enjoy a piece of Alabama and the Cahaba Rivers beauty. Nice trails for hiking and mountain biking. River access to the slab is at the very back of the park from the main entrance. Restrooms and outdoor shower access at the back pavilion near the river. Enjoy fellow adventurers!
Lots of nice hiking/Mt bike trails and several good places to cool off in the river.
