Confirmed from Camel’s Back Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular park with many trails for hiking and biking, plus wildlife sightings.
What runners say about Camel’s Back Trail
“OMG, what a beautiful place for hiking or cycling 🚲 I found a lots of people with their family or pets.”
What a wonderful way to get in some steps while being able to enjoy a lovely view. Bonus, parts of the trail are for the doggos to be off leash and I got to pet many a happy pup today. There are some stairs but there are ways around them if your knees don't do well with stairs.
Beautiful area with lots of offshoot trails. Well maintained trails, convenient parking, water filling station at another parking area. There's some incline but not too much and gorgeous wildflowers this time of year (June). I would recommend coming here to anyone in Boise!
Good work out hike with a nice steep walk to top with a wonderful view of Boise. September and October you can see the most colorful tree line.
Really neat park! There is a beach volleyball set up, tennis courts, playground, huge grassy area, and it’s dog friendly. There were tons of people out playing soccer, badminton, and just enjoying a warm summer night 😊 To get to the top of the hill for the view: we took the steep climb up to the top.
