We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Cameron Park Hiking Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Cameron Park Hiking Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (7 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Cameron has everything you need. Major elevation changes, long steady climbs, fast descents. 20+ miles of trails with great views of the river and just feeling lost in the middle of town. If you are new to Cameron study up on the maps, there are a lot of side trails that you need to watch for.

★★★★★ — Sean , Dec 2025

Great trail running spot! Being from Houston, the flat running along the river was nice but the elevation change on the trails was really cool but tough. Watch out for snakes.

★★★★★ — John , Oct 2025

Absolutely love this place and a great place to find solitude when trail running.
