We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Woods End Trail Entrance yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Woods End Trail Entrance
great hike. great views. little to no people. beware of the retards down at the lake who smoke weed in the brush - if you see them report them! overall, great hike and i love coming here as much as possible!
This is a Preserve- no dogs no matter how cute. Steep in the beginning but easier hike. Pretty views, wide path if you stay on main one. Temperature quickly rises. You can just go down to Barbara's Lake (Orange Co only natural lake) or under 133 overpass to Nix Nature Center.
Very nice trail, is best to go one hour before sunset 🌇 and see the lake. Just mine your steps, gravel is kind of loose.
Took a hike with some men from our church and this trail really impressed me. We went for about 1.5hrs but could have kept going. I was surprised with the amazing views from atop and that there was a lake hidden back there! Will go again soon.
