Confirmed from Castleridge Trailhead -- Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

The Coudet trail is a nice and intense warmup, with 900 feet of elevation gain in the first 1.9 miles.

My favorite trail in Pleasanton. I lost count of how many times I went on this trail for trail running or hiking in the last 1.5 years. Definitely more than 30 times. Most of the time trail running solo or with my running buddies in the hills. Many times I hiked with my wife and a few times with my kids also.

Beautiful trail for everyday hiking. I enjoy this trail on a daily basis. I use this trail for one of my training trails. Very good views at the top. Very well maintained trail and very beautiful sceneries. Once you get to the top of the hill the trail is well.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
