Confirmed from Chachalaca Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Family-oriented recreation area with a playground, swings, a dog park and a track.
What runners say about Chachalaca Park
Originally called Chachalaca Park, this park has a beautiful resaca which has been preserved for shore birds and Neo-tropical migrants. This 11 acre park is Easily accessible from Central Ave. or Clubhouse Rd. /Via Boca Chica Blvd or from Port Isabel Highway. The park also has a 1/4 mi.
I've been going to this park about every other day to walk my dog. It has a very nice path all the way around, benches, a playground, restrooms, and a fenced in dog park. Lots of people use this park to exercise and everyone is very friendly!
Perfect for whatever reason. If you're young or just young at heart. This park is small enough to be able to have your kids enjoy it by running around freely and still have them in sight.
Small but great park to take walks or bikes in. The sidewalk goes in a circle so it is very easy to track laps and your distance. The circumference of the park is .35 miles for every loop that you do.
