Confirmed from Southmost Nature Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Southmost Nature Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (9 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

This trail was so awesome my son and I really enjoy. But there's a down star for that. We started next to Eementary Del Castillo School by southmost. This trail extended all the way to the international Blvd street. Next to a High school, Porter High.

★★★★☆ — Rick , Jan 2019

It's a good trail. Just wish the bike air hose wasn't missing the main tip. Can't even put air on the bike in case of a low tire. And just throwing it out there, it'd be nice if it had at least one drinking water fountain, other than that. Perfect place to exercise.

★★★★☆ — Ishmael , Jul 2019

A safe place to walk, bike and run at any hour since the area is illuminated. Shaded areas, bicycle racks, and the opportunity to observe the stars at the early morning hours are some of the amenities in this trail.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
