Confirmed from Christman Sanctuary's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🪧 well-marked 2 mentions

“There is a good mix of ecology in this park, good trails, well marked.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“The nature here is truly stunning and peaceful - perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy natural beauty and get away from it all.”

👟 good for all levels 4 mentions

“This is an easy trail with some small inclines and a gorgeous view of the stream and falls as you walk.”

Very nice hike with many opportunities to go down to the edge of the water. Many small waterfalls and one big falls. The entire loop trail is only about 2 miles, and not too much elevation change.

★★★★★ — Pete , Jun 2017

Fun experience. Wear water shoes and cool off in the stream or near the falls. Part of the orange trail was blocked by a fallen tree but the blue trail, lean to and Christman memorial were definitely cool to see. Parking is minimal but this is a big place to roam.

★★★★★ — Joseph , Jul 2023

Fantastic winter hike on snow-packed trails. A little icy in some places but spikes aren’t necessary. The path to the waterfalls was incredible, and the ropes were helpful in helping us navigate the steep sections without falling. We absolutely loved this!

★★★★★ — Valerie , Jan 2023

Had a nice 1 mile loop hike. Several small falls and then Upper Bozen Kill Falls at the end of the yellow spur.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

“The only downside is that a few spots were quite muddy, so I'd recommend water proof shoes if you hike after heavy rain or in wet seasons.”
